Baking has never been my thing. Somehow I am more confident with stoves than ovens. It's probably because I haven't really indulged myself with baking much and when I did, it was an utter disaster. To start my baking journey, I thought why not give baked potato wedges a try. Baked potato wedges are fun to snack on and when topped with cheese, it's just YUM!

Few days back, me and my hubby woke up late and had an early lunch, in which case my hubby missed out on his breakfast. Turns out, breakfast is a very important meal for him and to fill that void of his, I took the chance to bake potato wedges. The last time I tried baking a potato, we ended up having raw potatoes. It was catastrophic!! So I cut up a few potatoes into wedges. I absolutely love the flavor of red chili powder. I often use it as a replacement of black pepper. So, I added a good amount of red chili powder and salt. I smeared the baking pan with oil and arranged the wedges in it. I glazed the wedges with a little touch of oil before throwing it in the oven. I let it cook for about 30 minutes. Well I think it was 30 minutes, I totally forgot about it and my hubby reminded me that my wedges are still cooking. Luckily it didn't get burnt. So I flipped the wedges, placed a few cheese slices on them and let it cook for another 15 minutes. I checked the consistency of the potato with a fork and it seemed to have cooked thoroughly but if it doesn't cook within this time, leave it in for another 15 minutes or more. The wedges turned out so good!! I think and will definitely give baking another try. We have been watching "The Office" together and snacked on these while doing so. So my first trial of baked potato wedges were a hit I must say.
