STICKY FRIED CHICKEN

In this series "Quick Instructions", as the name suggests I jot down the ingredients and the procedure so it's easier to follow.



INGREDIENTS:


For fried chicken:

  1. Whole wings cut into appropriate pieces - 6pcs

  2. Salt - 1 tsp

  3. Red chili powder - 1 tsp

  4. Minced garlic - 1 tsp

  5. Ginger paste - 1 tsp

  6. Corn starch, Corn meal - 2:1 ratio

For sauce:

  1. Oil - 1 tsp

  2. Minced garlic - 2 tsp

  3. Soy sauce - 1 tbsp

  4. Ketchup - 1.5 tbsp

  5. BBQ sauce - 0.5 tbsp

  6. Sugar - 1.5 tbsp

  7. Water - 1/3 cup

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Marinate the chicken wings with salt, red chili powder, minced garlic and ginger paste and leave it to rest for at least 20 minutes.

  2. Coat the marinated chicken wings with the corn starch and corn meal mixture.

  3. Deep fry them in high heat until the skin is crispy.

  4. Remove them from the oil and let it cool for 5 minutes and deep fry them again.

  5. In another pan, fry the garlic in the oil until the aroma of the garlic seeps out.

  6. Add in the soy sauce, ketchup, BBQ sauce, water and sugar.

  7. Let the mixture simmer until a thick sauce forms.

  8. Add in the fried wings to the sauce and coat them well.
